The big question about any upcoming F2F gathering is “will it happen?” We can’t predict the future (ha ha), but we can say that we have confirmed with the UH Hilton that our August 10-14 Seminar is a go! The Hilton is taking big steps to proactively sanitizing all areas and providing hand sanitizers for our meeting space, as well as spacing guests according to social distancing requirements. The University itself is preparing to open for classes in the Fall, and faculty and staff have been back on campus for several weeks. Obviously, there is still uncertainty. The news coverage can make it seem like the sky is falling. I urge you to wait as long as practical before deciding – as more information becomes available (and we see that the sky did not actually fall). Our team is eager to get back to work with real live human beings.

We have been asked about doing a virtual version of the boot camp. We already do – the boot camp is a super-intense version of our 15-week Introduction to Foresight course that is offered each semester virtually. If you are at risk or don’t want to travel, you can apply for what is called the Graduate Certificate in Foresight for the Spring Semester beginning in January. The Grad Certificate is 4 courses, but you could just take the Intro course and be done! It only requires transcripts, so it’s not super-complicated. Here is the info: https://uh.edu/technology/programs/graduate/foresight/certificate/. Of course, we will also offer the January Boot Camp in person.

Registration cost is $3,000. Check out our Foresight Seminar page for all the details, FAQs, and the registration link.
