Are you going to be in line tonight?

I am intrigued by the iHerd and their cultural behaviors. This Wired article gives a good look inside the “system” of getting the new technology.
If you read close enough, you find that, as suspected, these are the “early adopters”; that leading edge of the pack which marketers target and woo and point to as they forage for brand reinforcement.
Will the Apple brand always be the target of the “Apple nerd” as the article’s author self labels? Or does the fact that operations managers, bankers, middle managers and many former RIM® addicts are sporting these great devices mean that the late adopters have arrived?
