Congratulations to Joshua Brockway, UH Foresight student and now current Fall intern for SPEL (Government Accountability Office (GAO) Strategic Planning and External Liaison).

Josh has joined SPEL from the University of Houston’s (UH) Master of Science in Foresight program. He is also working on a foresight project for UH that is researching the futures of Environmental, Social, and Governance criteria and how they might intersect with capital construction projects. So far, his favorite parts of the project have been conducting the interviews with industry professionals and horizon scanning, but he’s really looking forward to the implications analysis.

Prior to GAO, he worked for a major financial services firm standing up an enterprise-level, agile-friendly project risk management program. Before that, he spent eight years working as Examiner-in-Charge for the State of Michigan’s Bank and Trust division. His education includes a Juris Doctor from Temple University and a bachelors in finance from Western Michigan University.

Josh lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area with his wife and twin 3-year old boys, which means he can recite most Thomas the train episodes from memory. If there’s any time left over after all of that, he tries to stay fit, be active in his church, and enjoy the best that sci-fi world building franchises have to offer.
