Department Chair Barbara Stewart, Nicci Obert, Andy Hines
The Department of Human Development & Consumer Science, within which our Foresight program sits, initiated a series of Excellence awards to recognize outstanding contributions to the Department. I am very pleased to announce that our very own star Nicci Obert was honored with a Staff Achievement Award. The awards were voted on by an Awards Committee, which gathering feedback about prospective candidates. Among the comments made about Nicci:
- “Nicci consistently goes above and beyond her formal role, demonstrates both vision and follow‑through, and is deeply dedicated to supporting students and the long‑term success of the program.”
- “She manages demanding research projects, including complex contracts, and helped develop a user’s guide that has made each successive project run more smoothly.”
- “She has taken the initiative to respond to student inquiries and created a tracking system that has become essential as the number of inquiries grows.”
- “She volunteers countless hours to our Spring Gathering team and she was instrumental in launching the ‘Foresight Activation Lab.”
It’s great to see her work being recognized by colleagues in our Department. Congratulations, Nicci … well deserved.
