I had the privilege of meeting Chelsea Coffey, @chelsea_alexa, my first year in the Futures Studies program.  Honestly, the lady exudes an essence of class and sophistication that can be found on movie screens or tucked away in story of a novel.  She spoke often of her personal desires to have a positive impact on humanity. All that knew her could see and feel the motions within her mind stirring a great plan, one that encompassed positive change.  Within a year of our meeting, Chelsea and her co-founder Patricia Molina have been busy moving their vision from ideation into the realm of realization.  Mia’s Closet, a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization,  was launched last year and has hosting over four events bettering the lives of children.  Mia’s Closet and their entourage of volunteers have distributed donated clothes and “emotional support, and constructive planning for the future,” for girls and boys from K-12 grade all throughout Houston.  From Dec. 1st – 14th Mia’s Closet will be having a Holiday Donation Drive, please spread the word and help Mia’s Closet continue to make the lives of children better today in hopes that those children will make tomorrow a better place.  Chelsea, Houston Futures applauds you for positively influencing today and the future!
