Experience Map

Adaptive Path - Rail Europe Experience Map

Maybe you have seen this rich graphic representation of an experience?
This amazing tool is very purposeful for looking at all of the things that happened, the things that we remember (or should remember) about a customer experience and how we related to it as the provider.  Here we can see what the experience was like, how it could have been better, what is missing, and what is there too much of.
What about the future? Someone once said that the interesting thing about the future is that nobody remembers it. [Who was that? If you know please comment and take a bow!].
In my mind, this tool and its distinctions could be very useful for “remembering” the experience of a scenario laid out in a possible future which we are describing to inspire our fellows or clients to; a wonderful and attractive graphic which communicates at many levels with nuance.
Perhaps I over gush, but it is the 14th of February and so you must pardon me!
In any case, I invite you to spend a few moments in the guilty pleasure of enjoying the creative work evidenced here and let your own mind explore the possibilities.
We’ll see you in the future!
